When I click a .nav-link button in the nav element, I am taken to the corresponding section of the landing page

To go to a section in a different page use the page link followed by ID in the href attribute.

To go to a section with ID 'sectionId' in the same page:

<a href="#sectionId">.....</a>

To go to a section with ID 'sectionId' in a different page 'secondpage.html':

<a href="secondpage.html#sectionId">.....</a>
